Aviation Advisory Commission
This Commission meets the first Thursday of each month, at 3:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers. The Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the JPA and the Board of Supervisors in promoting, aiding, encouraging and furthering the interest of aviation at the Del Norte County airports, including the development of airport policy, facilities and programs. Acts in an advisory capacity to the JPA and the Board of Supervisors and to the director of aviation in planning, maintenance, development and operation of all airports and similar facilities owned, controlled or leased by the County of Del Norte.

Fish and Game Advisory Commission
The Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors in all matters concerning fish and game within the County of Del Norte. This Commission is to function as “the county fish and wildlife commission as provided in Section 13103 of the Fish and Game Code. This Commission coordinates efforts in habitat improvements, public awareness and natural resource education. The regular meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30pm. The meetings are held in Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 981 H Street, Crescent City.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is made up of five members of the public, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, who review matters related to planning and development. They come to the Commission with a public-spirited enthusiasm for community planning and a concern for the future of their County. The Commission holds public hearings on the 1st Wednesday of every month to consider land use matters. These include such items as rezonings, use permits, boundary adjustments and subdivisions. Because the Commission focuses on planning issues, it is a valuable intermediary between the public and the County Board of Supervisors.


2. COUNTY GOAL COMMITTEES

Goal 1: Grants Committee
County Goal Committee No. 1 was created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal to "To prioritize and coordinate the grants process." Meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, but are normally scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Goal 2: Safe & Healthy Families
County Goal Committee No. 2 was created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal to "to empower our community by affirming safe and healthy children, families and individuals". Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 3:30PM, and will be held in the Board of Supervisors Chamber, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Goal 4 & 10: Future Facilities and Infrastructure
County Goal Committee No. 4 and No. 10 were created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal to "Identify, develop, and prioritize long range and short range plans for meeting future buildings, facilities, roads, equipment, and recreational facilities needs" and to "Do everything within our power to ensure the public is provided with adequate and efficient infrastructure (i.e. transportation, sewer, roads, cable, water, etc.)." Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Goal 5: Proactive Financial Committee
County Goal Committee No. 5 was created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal to "review and monitor financial procedures to ensure the County's financial resources are being managed and utilized through proactive management". Meetings are held on an "as needed" quarterly basis, and will be held in one of the Flynn Center meeting rooms, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Goal 7: Automation / Information Services
County Goal Committee No. 7 created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal "Provide information/automation resources required to effectively meet private and public needs." Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3pm in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Goal 8: Economic Development Committee
County Goal Committee No. 8 was created to discuss matters relevant to achieving the County's stated goal to "Actively support economic development in Del Norte County". Meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, and will be held in one of the Flynn Center meeting rooms, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. 3. MISC. COMMITTEES

Indian Gaming Local Benefit Committee
The Indian Gaming Local Benefit Committee, established by California statute and appointed by the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors, reviews and considers requests for use of State of California Special Distribution Fund dollars on particular projects. Meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, and will be held in one of the Flynn Center meeting rooms, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. Revolving Loan Committee
The Revolving Loan Committee, established by the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors as an advisory committee, reviews and considers requests for use of Housing Rehabilitation and Business Assistance Revolving Loan Fund dollars on particular projects. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of most months at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 981 H Street, Crescent City. 4. OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

Crescent City Harbor District
The Board of Harbor Commissioners meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Harbor District Conference Room, 101 Citizens Dock Road, Crescent City, CA 95531.

First 5 Del Norte works to improve the lives of children from the time they are in the womb until they enter kindergarten.
