The Board
of Supervisors of the County
of Del Norte and the
governing body of all other special assessment and taxing districts, for
which said Board so acts, is now meeting in special session. Only those items that indicate a specific
time will be heard at the assigned time.
All other items may be taken out of sequence to accommodate the
public and staff availability.

AGENDA ITEMS
1.
COMMENT
PERIOD: Members of the public may
address the Board on matters which are within the jurisdiction of the
Board. If you are addressing the Board
regarding a matter listed on the agenda, you may be asked to hold your comments
until the Board takes up that matter.
Please limit your comments to three minutes or less.
2.
Receive
an update on Emergency Preparedness.
3.
Approve
and Adopt A Joint Resolution of the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors and
the City Council of Crescent City Establishing a Joint Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) Advisory Commission.
4.
Receive
an update from staff on Recreation, discuss and take action as necessary.
5.
Update
on meetings of the Law Enforcement Committee and take action as necessary
6.
Receive
updated information on Building Codes, Zoning and Planning, discuss, and take
action as necessary.
7.
Receive
updates on Vehicle Service contracting and explore opportunities for a joint
corporation yard.
8.
Receive
staff report regarding a joint civil hearing officer to handle civil hearings
and appeals and give direction to staff to prepare and circulate an RFP to
provide services as an independent hearing officer for civil hearings and
appeals and take action as necessary.
9.
Consider
City & County Ordinance Amendments as they apply to political signage to
result in consistency and direct staff of the respective Planning Departments
to develop consistent Ordinance Amendments.
10. Receive
and discuss a request from First 5 Del Norte that the City and County consider
requiring that all low to moderate income multi-family development include
"Community Space" and direct staff to develop policies/strategies and
draft resolutions.
11. Discuss
the benefits of combining our housing element and take action as necessary.
12. TIMED

Strong from the Visitor Bureau.
ADJOURNMENT OF THE MEETING OF CITY AND COUNTY RECONVENE AS THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS
1.
Accept
the donation of land better known as "Goose Creek" from the Western
Rivers Conservancy, and authorize the Chair to sign the Donation Agreement and
other documents required for the transfer of land.
2.
Approve
and Authorize the Chair to sign a letter in support of applying for the
California Advanced Services Fund for two broadband projects our region.
