The Board
of Supervisors of the County
of Del Norte and the
governing body of all other special assessment and taxing districts, for
which said Board so acts, is now meeting in regular session. Only those items that indicate a specific
time will be heard at the assigned time.
All other items may be taken out of sequence to accommodate the
public and staff availability. Items
followed with a ** indicate material attached in the agenda packet.
A closed
session may be held at some time during the meeting to discuss litigation
and/or personnel matters. There is a
90-day statute of limitations relating to decisions rendered after a public
hearing of the Board of Supervisors and a 60-day statute of limitations
relating to ministerial actions of the Board of Supervisors. NOTE:
If you challenge the decision of the Board of Supervisors in court,
you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised
at the public hearing described in the notice, or in written correspondence
delivered to the Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing. (Govt. Code § 65009). When providing written correspondence to
the Board of Supervisors you must provide a copy to the Clerk of the Board
for inclusion in the official record.

SCHEDULED ITEMS:
1.
Pledge
of Allegiance
2.
Adopt
the Statement of Votes cast at the June 3, 2008 Direct Primary Election be
adopted, and that a copy be lodged in the Office of the County Clerk as
requested by the County Clerk/Recorder.**
3.
Recognition
of Election Workers as requested by the County Clerk/Recorder.**
4.
Waive
full reading, read by title only and introduce an Ordinance of the Del Norte
County Board of Supervisors amending Chapter 7.60 of the Del Norte County Code
Relating to Medical Marijuana Guidelines for the Implementation of Proposition
215 (California Health & Safety Code §11352.5 et seq.) and California
Senate Bill 240 (Health & Safety Code §11362.7 et seq.)
5.
Waive
full reading, read by title only and adopt an Ordinance of the Del Norte County
Board of Supervisors Amending Sections 2.01.030, 2.04.070(A) and 2.04.070 (B)
of Chapter 2.04, of the Del Norte County Code establishing Compensation Scale
for the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors.**
6.
Approve
and adopt the 2008-2009 Fiscal Year Budgets as presented in the four attached
schedules
7.
Presentation
by Ron Cole regarding the Gateway Education Summer Day Camp project as
requested by the Director of Community Development and Consider Action as
appropriate.**
CONSENT AGENDA
Comments
from members of the public may be heard at this time regarding matters on the
Consent Agenda only.
8.
Adopt
a Resolution Honoring the 2008 Del Norte High School Softball Team as requested
by the Assistant County Administrative Officer.**
9.
Approve
and Authorize the Sheriff to enter into an agreement with CODY Systems as
requested by the Sheriff-Coroner.**
10. Approve
and Authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement for Network Support in the amount
of $36,000.00 with Tech Wild as requested by the Director of Information
Technology.**
11. Authorize
the Interim Director of Child Support Services to enter into the Annual Plan of
Cooperation annual agreement between del Norte CSS and California DCSS
effective June 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 as requested by the Interim
Director of Child Support Services.**
12. Adopt
a Resolution in Support of First 5 Del Norte as requested by the Director of
First 5.
REGULAR ITEMS
BUDGET TRANSFERS:
13. Approve
a Budget Transfer (06-03) within the Department of Health and Human Services in
the amount of $14,229.00 as requested by the Director of Health and Human
Services.**
14. Approve
a Budget Transfer (06-04) in the amount of $10,000.00 within the Department of
Health and Human Services as requested by the Director of Health and Human
Services.**
15. Approve
a Budget Transfer (06-05) within the Department of Mental Health in the amount
of $50,000 for Professional Services as requested by the Director of Health and
Human Services.**
16. Approve
a Budget Transfer (06-08) within the Department of the County Clerk in the
amount of $7,000.00 for equipment as requested by the County Clerk/Recorder.**
17. Approve
Budget Transfer (06-09) in the amount of $155,000.00 and Budget Transfer
(06-10) in the amount of $93,000.00 within the Department of Health and Human
Services.
LEGISLATIVE AND BUDGET ISSUES:
18. Consider
miscellaneous legislative and budget matters pertinent to the County of Del
Norte. Authorize the Chair to sign and
send appropriate letters with respect to matters pending before the state or
federal governments.
