Section:    2.42.030    Membership appointment and term

 

Membership shall consist of ten members. Each supervisorial district shall provide two members, of which one shall be a profes­sional and one shall be a consumer. Each commissioner's term shall be concurrent with the term of the board member who recommended and/or appointed the subject member. All subsequent appointments to fill vacancies shall be ratified by the full board. All members of the commission, regardless of appointment or term, must be residents of Del Norte County and shall serve at the pleasure of the board of supervisors. Any member of the commission may be removed by either of the following:

A.   The chairman of the board of supervisors, subject to approval by the majority of the board;

B.    A majority vote of the board of supervisors. (Ord. 96‑08 (part), 1996.)
