Title: 21 Coastal Zoning
Chapter: 21.02 Enabling Plan

This zoning plan is adopted to provide for the promotion and protection of the public health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, convenience, and general welfare, for the following more particularly specified purposes:
A. To assist in providing a definite plan of development for that portion of the county within the California Coastal Zone, and to guide, control and regulate the future growth of the county, in accordance with the zoning plan and pursuant to the General Plan Coastal Element.
B. To protect the character and the social and economic stability of agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, and other areas within the county, and to assure the orderly and beneficial development of such areas. (Ord. 83-03 (part))
